Religion - I Can Taste

It’s been fun learning about our 5 senses!  Can you name them all and sing about them?

This week we will learn about the last one.  Our sense of taste!

Language Arts - Letter Dd

Who can say the whole alphabet?

Our new letter is “Dd” like “dog”.  Listen to the story and see how many “d” words you can remember!

Did you listen to all of the “d” words!  There were so many!  Who likes dinosaurs?  If you feel creative today, draw or make a dinosaur.  Below are some pictures to give you some ideas.  Have fun!

Math: #’s 1-5 with a focus on 4

Practice counting to 20.  Review 1,2, & 3.  Here is our new number for the week!

“Down across and down once more.  That’s the way we make a four!”

How many ways can you show the number four?

Religion: How Unique Are You?

God made us all uniquely special.  We have been learning that since day one!  In the spirit of the Autumn season and the growing of pumpkins, enjoy a special story called The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin.

After watching the read along, create you own pumpkin!  Choose the shape, color, and design of your unique creation.  Below are some examples of the story but you may be as creative as you wish!

Language Arts: Letter Cc

Review Aa, Bb, Cc.  Name words that begin with Cc.  Draw a picture of a “candy corn.”  (Use the 1/2 sheet of paper in your packet.  Draw a large triangle.  Draw lines to make 3 sections.  (Leave the top section white, color the middle section orange, and the bottom section yellow.)

Religion: I Can Discover (5 Senses) - I Can Smell

In religion,  we have been discovering our world through the five senses God gave us. This week we are focusing on our sense of smell.  Enjoy this video about all five senses and then experiment with some smells in your house.  Some examples might include, lotion, soap, toast, peanut butter, etc.  The religion sheet that the students were supposed to complete got left in the classroom accidentally.  Try drawing a picture of your favorite smell instead.  Happy smelling!
