Practice singing and saying the whole alphabet. We have been practicing saying all the letter names, sounds they make and a few words that begin with each sound. We will focus on letter “Aa” as we learn about apples. We will inspect, taste, graph our favorite, plant seeds and paint paper ones! Look at the letters in your name. Do you have a letter “Aa” in your name? Sing along with Cocomelon and Jack Hartmann!

Fun With Our Reading Buddies
As our 8th graders prepare for Confirmation this year, they have volunteered to read to our PK students as part of their service hours. What a fun way to serve our little ones! The PK students loved the stories and the attention they got from the “big kids”. They read stories in the classroom and then moved out to the picnic tables.
God Made Me Special
To wrap up our religion unit, we shared “All About Me” bags. We learned a lot about what makes each one of us special!
(One of our friends was a little too shy to be in the picture so we let Pete the Cat sit in his place)
Kindness In Action!
Our school theme this year is “Kindness-Be the I in KIND”. Some of our PK4 friends displayed just that! One friend dropped a bucket of toys and without any prompting from me several students scrambled over to help clean up the mess. Very proud of these helpful students!

Fun With Nursery Rhymes!
Learning nursery rhymes and understanding rhyming words is an important reading readiness skill. We have been reciting, acting out and completing art projects for some of the classics. Look what all we can do with Humpty Dumpty!
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall!
